  • Where are you located?
We get this question a lot. • How much does it cost to rent Woodhaven? What is included?
Our pricing and included features are listed here.
  •  What is the building capacity?
Our reception hall seats 150 guests including the bridal party.
  •  Is my preferred wedding date available?
Please see our available dates here.
  • Is there a deposit?  When are the additional payments due?
Yes, we require a non-refundable date reservation fee to “reserve” your weekend just for you. This booking fee is nonrefundable.  When the contract is signed, to continue holding the date, we require this $1,000 payment. A Venue Rental payment of HALF the total fee is due either at the time of booking (if less than one year out) or 9 months prior to the event. The remaining portion of the total is required to be made IN FULL 30 days prior to your Friday arrival date. We do require Wedding event insurance. This is handled through a third party and we offer the information for you at the time of signing your contract.  We also request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds. The party paying for the rental is responsible for any damages to the venue or property incurred by the wedding party or guests.
  • How do I reserve a date?
We would love if you could see Woodhaven firsthand by booking an in-person tour HERE. If you and your planning team need additional time at the venue, you can arrange to attend one of our Welcome Events HERE (even if you haven’t yet booked your weekend with us). If you are ready to reserve your date, you can email us at info@woodhavenvenue.com with the details of your first and second dates of choice. We will honor this email as a request for dates and it places you in line for those dates. Our process follows the order of first request/first contract and payment. We strive to be fair and as accommodating as we can in our reservation process.
  • Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
Tours are available only with a reservation. Sign up for your tour here.
  • How do I know if Woodhaven Venue is a good fit for my wedding budget?
That is a great question! We recommend allocating no more than 30% of your wedding budget for your venue rental so that all the other aspects of your celebration can be wonderful as well! This formula would suggest that your total budget be between $20,000 and $38,000 at least. We believe our venue is beautiful and stands on its own so you can opt to decorate her up or allow her natural beauty to shine through, saving or elaborating on décor and floral as your budget allows. For perspective, most budgets for Nashville and Chattanooga brides are between $31,000 and $41,000. Venue rentals average between $9,000 and $11,000 (according to The Knot) and these are typically a 12-hour venue rental. Additionally, rehearsal dinners typically cost upwards of $2,300. We strive to give you your money’s worth by including the Woodhaven venue rental on Friday night for your rehearsal dinner and give you weekend access to the property.
  •  Do you require a food, beverage, or guest count minimum?
No.  We believe your weekend is yours to plan and make your guest list as full or intimate as you choose. We have chosen NOT to require a minimum because we do not need to make a commission from your caterer based on how much food you choose to serve. By not having a minimum, we believe it gives you the option to decide on your guest list and menu as you see fit.
  • Do you provide a vendor list for caterers?
We do have a list of “SUGGESTED” caterers, but you are free to utilize any professional catering service you choose. We do believe the quality of food can be a reflection of the venue to some people, so we aim to have only vetted, experienced and professional caterers serve through our kitchen. We strongly discourage “do it yourself” (ie., asking your Aunt Martha) meal service but are happy to work with professionals who have the same caliber of expectation for excellence as we do at Woodhaven! We would encourage you to interview your caterers thoroughly to get to know their work ethic, timeliness, willingness to meet your standards, quality of food and their ability to bring qualified staff to serve you and your guests! We hope they are as committed to the success of your wedding weekend as you are!
  •  Will there be another wedding the weekend I am getting married?
No, our policy is one wedding- one weekend. We are located inside a small gated community of fewer than 50 log homes, so we request that you and your guests are mindful and respectful of homeowners that reside nearby who share roads and also have access to the meadows and ponds.
  • Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
Yes.  There are privately-owned log cabins within the community surrounding the 65 acres of Woodhaven properties, each walkable or less than a 2 minute drive to the Venue. Reservations can be accessed by contacting www.stayatfallcreekfalls.com. Rentals are managed privately separate from Woodhaven and are viewable on that site as well as on VRBO. Additionally, Fall Creek Falls State Park, the state’s largest and most visited park, is only a few miles from Woodhaven and it has a beautifully renovated Lodge that offers 85 guest rooms, each with a picturesque view of beautiful Fall Creek Falls Lake. The unique guest rooms come in a variety of different sizes and layouts, ensuring the overnight arrangements are as spectacular as the surrounding park. A block of rooms can be held in advance. The park also offers camp and RV sites and cabin rentals. Click here to see more.
  •  What is there to do nearby?
The Woodhaven property itself offers so much to do: walking or biking the quiet road around our 65 acres of rolling meadows and horse pasture feeding our sweet horses: Our horses are privately owned and in retirement from their careers of racing. They are not available for riding bird watching : Our ponds attract the most amazing songbirds and wildlife. The frogs absolutely sing a symphony at night! Woodhaven has parking to accommodate approximately 20 cars on a gravel lot. Adjacent grassed parking is available for 100 cars.
  • Do you provide table linens? Or serving items?
We provide optional linens to accompany our four specialty tables (e.g., guest book/ gifts/ cake/sweetheart). We do not charge extra for these linens and we provide cleaning of those linens at no charge. Our tables are so pretty they do not require linens; however, you are free to rent them from a rental company if you wish.We do not provide any place setting items, glass or stemware, cake cutting items, toasting or communion utensils or supplies. We suggest you discuss each of these items with your planner and/or caterer.
  • Does Woodhaven offer a plan in case of rain?
We have a beautiful 140’ covered porch that can easily be set up as either a reception site or a delightful ceremony location. Our indoor climate-controlled reception hall is easily utilized as a ceremony location or can host a gorgeous reception! The Banquet Hall is a smaller option for a more intimate ceremony. At Woodhaven, you get to choose your plan and location and arrangement!
  • Do you offer reception-only rental?
Our structure is set up to offer entire weekends to our couples, which is not conducive to single-night rentals even at a reduced rate. Friday night and Saturday night only rentals are available at the full weekend rate indicated on our Available Dates page (see HERE). Please contact us for mid-week rental availability and rates.
  • Do you allow dogs onsite as a part of our wedding day?
We love dogs; however, having dogs at our venue for the weekend poses a number of issues and considerations with both our facility and our neighborhood community so we unfortunately are not able to allow visiting animals at Woodhaven. If Woodhaven property is rented for a photography session, dogs are allowed for those engagement or pre-wedding photos but the dogs must remain on a leash and they must be managed the entire time by a third responsible party (other than the photographer/assistant/bride or groom) who is also expected to clean up after them.
  •  Do you accept credit card or venmo?
Our preferred form of payment is check. We do not accept venmo.
  •  My preferred date is not available. Do you have a waiting list?
No, we are not able to manage a wait list based on cancellations. We understand that cancellations will happen, and we will post any newly available dates on our Available Dates page HERE
  •  What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
Our weekend rental allows access beginning at noon the Friday of your weekend. The venue will open between 8 and 9am on Saturday.
  •  Do you include a wedding day coordinator?
We do not. Brides are encouraged to utilize a professional planner other than a family member who can keep activities and people flowing as you have planned and can be a go-between for your vendors. The Woodhaven team is available the entire weekend and will maintain a presence during your actual events to answer questions or assist with issues pertaining to the venue and operations.
  •  What time do you suggest we start the ceremony?
Because you have rented Woodhaven for the entire weekend, you are able to plan your rehearsal dinner, your Saturday arrival, ceremony and reception any time you like!! We encourage you to make it yours!
  • How can I arrange the tables for my reception?
Woodhaven has several arrangement options. We can offer suggested layouts upon request.
  • I’d like to have sparklers at my reception. Is this allowed?
No, fireworks and sparklers are not allowed out of concerns for safety and respect for our neighbors.
  •  Can vehicles be left overnight?
Because the rental allows availability for the entire weekend, we do not mind cars being left overnight in our Woodhaven designated parking lot or grassy spaces off the entrance driveway. All vehicles must be removed by Sunday at noon when the entrance gates are locked.
  •  Since I rent for the weekend, does my reception have to end at a certain time?
Yes, out of respect for the vendors and our neighbors, we require that the volume of the music be kept at a manageable level throughout the weekend and that the amplified music through the speakers be off by 10:30 pm. The venue itself will be locked at midnight both Friday and Saturday nights.
  • We are using a rental company.  Can my rental company make deliveries earlier than Friday at noon?
Any deliveries or arrivals of vendors prior to noon on Friday must be pre-arranged and scheduled with the Owner or Event Director and placed on the schedule. Our gate is closed and inaccessible outside of rental times. In order to make special arrangements or exceptions, prior approval is required.
  •  Can we use the meadows for our ceremony spot?
Of course! The advantage of Woodhaven is the plethora of options for your very own wedding ceremony. We only ask that all details of location, set-up and time be submitted in the time frame indicated in the workbook you will receive upon booking.
  • Can I have candles?
Only battery powered flameless candles are allowed in and around our venue site. This includes the meadows and grassy areas.
  • How far in advance do you need our final headcount?
All dates and deadlines are included in our workbook that you will receive upon booking your wedding weekend.
  •  Can I bring in my own snacks on the wedding day?
Yes, you are welcome to bring in snacks and lunch on Saturday for the wedding parties. Our snack area includes a microwave, refrigerator, sink and counter space to create the perfect spot for your snacks convenient for both Grooms lounge and the Bridal Suite! Glass containers are not allowed beyond the getting ready spaces downstairs.
  •  Am I in charge of cleaning up after the weekend’s events?
Actually, NO! Your guests should be responsible for their personal items, loading and unloading and disposal of items in the trash receptacles provided. Basic respect and care of the facility and grounds is expected, but the Woodhaven team will take care of trash removal throughout the weekend!
  •  Are we allowed to take photos around the property?
Of course! Our property has many beautiful spots for you and your family and guests to capture moments and memories! Have fun creating some post-worthy pics all weekend long! And don’t forget to tag us when you post!!
  • I would like to hang drapery and lanterns around the venue. Is this ok?
We do not allow for hanging of any items in places other than where hooks and hangers are already mounted for you. We strive to maintain the beauty of our new venue for all the brides to come and creating holes in our walls and posts and beams will not accomplish this. In addition, Woodhaven does not want to take on the stress, danger and responsibility of an accident from a tall ladder!
